Mar de Encinas opened in 2026 in Cardeña, in the north of the province of Córdoba, selling farms, country houses and land across the Valle de los Pedroches, Sierra Morena and the Valle de Alcudia. The agency is new. We are not: we grew up here, and we have been walking this country all our lives.

The way we work is the way it has always been done here: we do not advertise a property we have not walked. Before it goes up we check the water, the tree cover, the livestock it can carry, the access roads and which buildings are still sound. Then we describe it as it is, strengths and repairs alike. People buying land do not want to be sold a dream; they want to know what they are taking on.

We cover a corridor that crosses two provinces, from Los Pedroches to Sierra Morena and the Valle de Alcudia. That is not a geographical slip: it is the same dehesa, the same big game and the same buyers. Someone after a holm-oak estate in Cardeña will just as readily consider one in Fuencaliente, and it makes sense for one agent to know both.

There is one case we work for in particular: someone who has inherited a farm or a family house, lives far away, and does not know what they have or what it is worth. There we do what any neighbour with judgement would do: go, look, measure and explain it without rushing, with nothing to sign that day.
